One of my favourite ways to help the planet is through recycling.
Here in Australia we have a "return and earn" initiative to encourage people to recycle their glass bottles, plastic bottles and cans. The individual places the drink container into the machine and the 10c refunds being with every bottle. These refunds can then be used as money at Woolworths, deposited into your credit card or donated. The initiative has allowed individuals to earn some money and help the planet at the same time.
Another way I like to recycle is through reusing glass jars. The glass jars used as pasta sauces act as great containers for fruit, DIY body scrubs, growing plants and storing smoothies and juices.
Recycling can help the environment as it:
Reduces the amount of waste going to landfills.
Conserves natural resources.
Preventing pollution.
Saving energy.
Some simple ways you could implement recycling into your routine is through:
Using metal straws
Opting to use a Keep Cup instead of a plastic/styrofoam/cardboard one
Recycling your bottles.
Using a reusable water bottle and not purchasing single-use plastics.
Even implementing simple techniques into your daily routine has the ability to make a difference in the world.
